A new programme has started up in East Kent which is called M-PACT (Moving Parents And Children Together) run by The Forward Trust.
A little bit about the programme it is when there is a parent or adult in the household that has in the past or is having problems with substance use alcohol or drugs which can impact on the family as a whole we look at how we can move the parents and children forward in a safe friendly environment with groups of other families in the same situation hoping that we can break the cycle of addiction.
The adult does not need to be involved or every been involved with The Forward Trust. We work with children between the ages of 8 -17 with their adults whether that is a parent, grandparents aunt/uncles, carers or guardians.
The groups are once a week in the evening for 9 weeks so no one misses out on work and school and will be held at our local Hub in Sittingbourne.
