Valerie Gibson

I graduated with a LLB(Hons) in Law in 1981 and on returning to work after having 2 children followed a post graduate Management Accounts course with the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts from 1998 to 2001 whilst working in the accounts department of a large direct marketing company in the Cotswolds.  In 2002, having moved to Bedford, I started working in Primary Care for a large GP Practice running their finances, reporting and data analysis, increasing this over time to encompass business strategy.  In 2010 I took over as the Practice Manager of a Rural Dispensing Practice and on relocating to Kent worked for NHSE as an Assistant Contracts Manager.  In 2017 I joined the Memorial Medical Centre as part time Business Manager and I can easily say this has been the best working experience of my career.  Although the challenges of Primary Care have continued to increase throughout the last 21 years the staff and Partners at Memorial are the most supportive, caring and dedicated team I have had the pleasure of working with.
