I qualified as a RGN in 1992 from University College and The Middlesex Hospitals in London, where I continued to work for several years in general medicine.
I then worked at The Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury where I gained a wide range of surgical experience and also training in administering chemotherapy.
I qualified as a registered midwife in 1999 and worked on the midwifery unit at Medway Maritime Hospital until moving into practice nursing in 2009.
I have worked at the Memorial Medical Centre since 2011 and have since gained diplomas in Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease
