Disabled access

Disabled access and facilities

Free parking with disabled bays are all around the hospital and surgery.

There is good access for the disabled coming into the consultation rooms and into the main building with ramps and automictic doors. We have accessible bathrooms with changing facilities.

A hearing loop is installed in Reception to assist patients with hearing aids.

A visual patient call system is available in the waiting room.

Patients who are deaf can book their doctor’s appointments online via the surgery’s website (see our Home Page), and email the Practice about appointments with nurses and healthcare assistants. Alternatively you can attend the surgery reception desk.  Consultations can be extended to allow time for written communication with the doctor or nurse & the patient will be given a face to face appointment.

Patients who are blind may be able to phone us and if attending an appointment they can bring guide dogs onto the premises.

Please ask at reception if you have learning disabilities or are attending the surgery with someone who has learning disabilities and require extra support from staff. We can provide a quiet room to make your visit more confortable. We also have wheelchairs to borrow whilst in the surgery.
