About the Memorial Medical Centre

We are a six partner practice (five GPs & one paramedic) based in Sittingbourne Kent. Our aim is to provide care to the whole person whatever the nature of their medical problem. https://www.kentandmedway.icb.nhs.uk/your-health/local-services/general-practice-services/your-gp-practice-team

Opened in 1995, the Practice strives to offer all its patients up-to-date care without losing sight of the traditional perspective. We serve more than 16,000 patients with quality care.

This practice has been accredited as being suitable for the training of those doctors intending to become General Practitioners.

The purpose built surgery is located within the grounds of Sittingbourne Memorial Hospital, adjacent to the Memorial Pharmacy, providing our patients with excellent access to a full range of community services.

The premises are suitable for disabled and/or wheelchair patients and has baby changing facilities.

All patients with the Practice are allocated a named GP and you can check who your named GP is anytime you contact the surgery. You are encouraged to see this GP for every consultation unless they are not available for appointment bookings at that time.

New patients are informed of their named GP when attending for a new patient health check.

CQC rated us as Good following a visit in September 2017.

CQC update – ‘We reviewed the information and data available to us about Memorial Medical Centre on 9 March 2023. We have not found evidence that we need to reassess the rating at this stage. We will continue to monitor information about this service’.
